Municipal Assessment Agency’s 2024 Operational Report

The Municipal Assessment Agency offers ethical and equitable property assessment services within Newfoundland and Labrador. They are responsible for both residential and commercial property assessments within the province, with the exception of the City of St. John’s. Come join CEO Don Hearn as he delivers the Agency’s Annual Operational Report, followed by a Q&A session.
Amendments to the Wastewater Systems Effluent Regulations
Location: Community Centre Cafeteria

The Wastewater Systems Effluent Regulations came into force in 2012 and set national effluent quality standards that can be met through a secondary level treatment. The Amendments provide an opportunity for communities to apply for an extension to the end of 2030 or 2040 to meet the effluent standards of the Regulations. Small communities issued a transitional authorization would also have less monitoring and reporting burden to allow them to focus their resources towards planning their upgrades.
