MNL brings its annual conference online

ST. JOHN’S, MAY 28, 2020 – Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador (MNL) is excited to announce that it is moving its annual general meeting and conference to an online, engaging format this year.

This event, which usually draws up to 600 attendees and rotates across the province, was initially slated to take place in the City of Corner Brook. MNL is working with the representatives from the City to still bring a local flavour to the online event.

Mayor Sheila Fitzgerald, President of Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, says, “Our priority is always to ensure the health and safety of our communities and everyone who lives within them. We are excited to reimagine our events in the foreseeable future for our members, our sponsors and our partners.”

Communities or individuals who have already reserved accommodations in Corner Brook for the fall are reminded to reach out and cancel their bookings immediately.

More information about the virtual conference, and the exciting plans MNL has in store, will be announced in the weeks ahead.
