Tuesday is Election Day in NL

September 25, 2017

“The candidates have done their job, now it’s time for the residents of this province to do theirs,” says Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador President Karen Oldford.

“Municipal councils are on the front lines of government because they make decisions that affect our lives every day,” Oldford said. “The Make Your Mark campaign encouraged candidates to come forward – and now we must encourage residents to make their mark on the ballot by voting on September 26th.”

“It’s so important that residents get out and vote,” Oldford said. “To keep our democracy in Newfoundland and Labrador vibrant, we all need to participate. I encourage everyone to go out and to cast their ballot for their favourite candidate.”

Voting will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please check your municipal council office for locations
