Municipal Sector Training and Education
As part of Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador’s (MNL) efforts to progress the municipal sector, we offer a range of professional development, training, and education opportunities to our members. These take the form of in-person workshops, online webinars, instructor-led training, and partnerships with post-secondary institutions.
MNL also works with Memorial University (MUN) and College of the North Atlantic (CNA) to pair students with municipalities for work terms, research projects, and student placements.
Students available for co-op work term placements
Co-operative Education students from the Engineering Technology programs at the Engineering Technology Centre of the College of the North Atlantic will be competing for 12- to 16-week Winter work terms commencing January 6, 2025 and ending April 25, 2025.
The students have a wide range of engineering skills in the technical, academic and personal management areas to bring to co-op employers. Please consider the benefits of hiring a co-op student from the College. Our co-op programs represent a proven human resource development strategy by incorporating classroom and workplace learning.
You can find out more about the CNA co-op programs and curriculum here or please contact the Student Development Officer responsible for your area of interest. Please ask the Student Development Officers if you qualify for SECPAP funding for hiring our work term students.
