Housing Capacity Building Officer

Ben Noseworthy is a community-minded leader who is passionate about helping build vibrant, healthy and sustainable communities here in Newfoundland and Labrador.  Before joining the team at Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, Ben spent 10 years as a Town Clerk and Town Manager supporting Council in meeting the diverse local needs of their community including Planning and Development, Capital Works and Operations.

Ben Noseworthy is a community-minded leader who is passionate about helping build vibrant, healthy and sustainable communities here in Newfoundland and Labrador. 

Before joining the team at Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, Ben spent 10 years as a Town Clerk and Town Manager supporting Council in meeting the diverse local needs of their community including Planning and Development, Capital Works and Operations. Before his local government roles, Ben spent over 10 years in the financial services industry as an analyst and before that was involved in the construction industry, where he was a certified R2000 home builder.  

Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Royal Roads University in British Columbia with his major being Entrepreneurial Management and is an alumnus of Conestoga College in Ontario. Ben also has a certificate in Healthy Board Governance from the Community Sector Council NL. 

Ben is involved in his local community serving several organizations both as board member and volunteer such as the local coop, seniors housing and foodbank.  

Ben is passionate about housing and capacity building and is excited to join the MNL team and to continue working with municipalities and other stakeholders in identifying our housing issues, potential solutions and funding opportunities to make it happen.
