During his time on Council, Craig has become known for his commitment to openness, transparency, and a collaborative approach to governance. Qualities which he will bring to his role with the Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Directors and the Urban Municipalities Committee. 

First elected to council in 2013, and again in 2017 as Mayor, Craig is a lifelong resident of Torbay where his family roots run deep.

In his professional life, Craig has worked in a variety of sectors including Federal Public Service, Oil and Gas, Construction, and currently the Non-profit sector where he is employed as a Database/Network Administrator.

Craig is heavily involved in his community, particularly as a volunteer, having served on several boards including the Jack Byrne Arena Board and Holy Trinity High School Council and as an active supporter of the North East Avalon Food Bank and other community organizations. Currently, Craig is a member of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Mayors Congress.
