Access to information and privacy obligations are not the sole responsibility of an ATIPP coordinator. Municipal leaders, staff, and elected officials all play a role in safeguarding information and supporting compliance with ATIPPA, 2015. This session will provide a practical overview of confidentiality requirements, the division of responsibilities within a municipality, and the services available through the provincial ATIPP Office. Through real-world examples and common scenarios, participants will leave with a better understanding of how to manage information responsibly while supporting transparency and accountability.
