I am a lifelong Labradorian, born and raised in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, where I have proudly lived, worked, and raised my family. It is where my husband and I built our life and raised our two children, and where my commitment to community service has taken many forms.
I was first elected to Happy Valley-Goose Bay Town Council in 2021 and re-elected for a second term in 2025. During my time on Council, I have chaired the Finance, Community Services and Recreation, and Community Planning and Development Committees, while also serving on the Municipal Services and Protective Services Committees. I currently serve as a Town-appointed board member with the Goose Bay Airport Corporation.
Professionally, I work in employment and skills development, supporting individuals and organizations throughout the region. My background in client service, community programming, governance, and volunteer leadership has strengthened my belief in listening to people, building relationships, and finding practical ways forward.
I am seeking the role of Labrador Director with Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador because I understand that, while Labrador communities are diverse, many share common challenges — including infrastructure pressures, limited resources, high costs, geographic realities, and the need to ensure Labrador’s voice is heard in provincial municipal discussions. I believe strong representation begins with listening, understanding and bringing priorities forward with clarity, respect, and persistence.
I would be proud to bring my municipal experience, collaborative approach, and lifelong connection to Labrador to the MNL Board, serving as an approachable and committed voice for communities throughout our region.
