Corey is an experienced Safety/Environmental professional and as worked in the HSE department for 20 yrs at the Ming Mine site. Prior to joining FireFly Metals he was the HSE superintendent for Rambler Metals and Mines Canada where he has contributed in setting high standards from 2005 – 2023. Some highlights of his career focused on helping the organization obtain the prestigious National John T Ryan safety award three times in six years. Corey has extensive experience in Health, Safety and the Environment for bothCanadian Federal and Provincial regulations. In addition, extensive experience in building Mine Rescue response teams. This knowledge in turn helped contribute to build a positive HSE culture which saw Rambler Metals recognized as a key safety leader within the Country.

Corey is also instrumental in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador where contributes to the overall mining safety structure within the province and sits on the Mine Rescue technical advisory committee and chairs the Mining NL safety committee, He also holds a seat on the National John T Ryan awards committee which provides updates on OH&S mining regulations within in Canada.
