Therefore Be It Resolved that Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador lobby the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to explore the feasibility of replacing the regressive property tax regime with alternative revenue raising tools, such as a municipal income tax, that considers the taxpayerÕs ability to pay and the ease of collection on the part of the municipality.
