FUNDING PROGRAM

Capital retrofits of existing municipal buildings

Finance substantial energy-saving improvements to existing municipal facilities.

Funder

Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Green Municipal Fund

Amount and terms

Up to $10 million combined loan and grant, covering up to 80%; grant up to 20% of the loan amount.

Eligible applicants

Municipalities and eligible partners; buildings must be wholly municipally owned or owned by an eligible Indigenous community.

Eligible projects

Capital energy and emissions retrofits supported by an eligible retrofit pathway study or equivalent.
