Already thinking ahead to wildfire season? Planning for repairs after that last flooding episode? Pricing generators for a warming centre? If you’re like most towns, climate change is showing up on your Council agenda more often these days. And the Climate-Ready NL team sees you.

Your municipal-sector climate adaptation program has a busy year ahead. We’re heading into a busy, second field season as well as kicking off our two streams of follow-up emergency planning and nature-based activities with our colleagues in the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Fire Services (NLAFS) and Stewardship Association of Municipalities (SAM). Come and meet our team, hear about the climate impacts towns have been reporting to date, learn about some of our new project partners and the exciting work to come.

You’ll walk away from this session with:

  • An up-to-date picture of who’s doing what in your region
  • Current examples of how available adaptation resources are being used
  • New colleagues to call for help with your town’s adaptation challenges
