The 2026 Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador Annual General Meeting is scheduled for November 7, 2026 at the St. John’s Convention Centre.
Member municipalities are encouraged to send two voting delegates to the AGM. Please complete the registration form to attend.
Resolutions submitted by the Board of Directors and member municipalities at the Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador (MNL) Annual General Meeting have been a core component of MNL’s advocacy work since the first meeting in 1951.
MNL is accepting resolutions from municipalities until September 25 at 4:30 p.m. Newfoundland Time. Resolutions approved by the MNL Advocacy Committee will be voted on by the membership at the AGM.

At the 2026 MNL AGM, members will vote for Board of Director regional seats. The following candidates have put their names forward:

Submit your application via email to Wendolyn Schlamp, Engagement Officer (wschlamp@municipalnl.ca) with the subject line: Board Application – Human Resources.
Selection Process:
A sub-committee of the Board of Directors will review applications.
If only one qualified candidate is nominated for a position, they will be acclaimed.
If multiple qualified candidates are nominated for a position, the sub-committee will assess the applications based on an evaluation metric and will put forward a slate to the MNL Membership for approval.
If no qualified candidates are nominated, the position will remain vacant until the next meeting of the Members.
Selected candidates will be presented to the membership for approval at the Annual General Meeting on November 5-7, 2026.
