Climate Ready NL

Climate-Ready NL is an MNL program designed to help towns and communities in Newfoundland and Labrador prepare for the effects of climate change. Led by Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador (MNL), this program offers tools, training, and support to make communities safer and more resilient.

Climate change is already affecting our province. We are seeing more storms, rising sea levels, and changing weather patterns. These changes can damage roads, buildings, and other important infrastructure. They can also impact our way of life. Climate-Ready NL helps communities understand these risks and take action to protect themselves.

Climate-Ready NL provides:

  • Training: Workshops and webinars to teach community leaders about climate risks and solutions.
  • Tools: Resources to help plan for and respond to climate challenges.
  • Support: Guidance from experts to help communities make smart decisions.

The program is a partnership between MNL, the Professional Municipal Administrators (PMA), the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Fire Services (NLAFS), and the Stewardship Association of Municipalities (SAM).
